Over €300 million investment into new ammonia production plant

The chemical industry giant, Duslo Šaľa, has officially opened a new ammonia production plant. The investment in the factory called Ammonia 4 reaches up to €310 million. As early as 2014, the Government approved a tax incentive for this investment worth up to a maximum of €58 million over ten years. According to the Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) this move made the Agrofert group, owner of Duslo Šaľa, carry out further investments in Slovakia and create new job opportunities. The CEO of Duslo Šaľa, Petr Blaha, agrees that the investment was necessary, as the previous production technology was already outdated. "If we had put it out of operation and hadn't built a new one, it would have been basically the end of Duslo," stated Blaha.
