Slovakia's national football team lost 1:0 to Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League Group 1 of League B match played behind closed doors in the Ukrainian city of Lviv on Sunday. Ukraine's Andriy Yarmolenko decided the final score with a late penalty. "It was a match that should have ended in a 0:0 draw. Unfortunately, the referee awarded a penalty and this decided the game. We played a balanced and high-quality match," said Slovak player Marek Hamšík after the match. Ukraine have two wins and six points in Group 1 after beating the Czech Republic and now Slovakia. Launched in September 2018, the UEFA Nations League is a two-year international football competition contested by European national teams. It has replaced the system of international friendly matches.
