High-speed railway to connect Visegrad countries

The Visegrad four countries have agreed to become connected through a new high-speed railway system. This should lead from Budapest, through Bratislava and Brno all the way to Warsaw. The trains could go as fast as 250 km/h. The Hungarian foreign minister Péter Szijjártó revealed plans for this project at the Economic Forum in Krynica, Poland. The transport ministries of Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic are to commission a feasibility study, which should be available next year in autumn. The Hungarian government plans to allocate 1.5 billion forints to this study, which is around 4.5 million euro.
