Skripal case: Slovak foreign ministry stands with the UK

The Slovak ministry of foreign and European affairs fully acknowledges and respects the findings released by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons regarding the nerve gas attack in Amesbury, UK, in June. These reveal that the substance that poisoned two people in Amesbury is the same as the one which poisoned the former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter. The ministry plans to coordinate its further actions with the United Kingdom and the allies. It also appreciates that the United Kingdom released the OPCW report. The chemical substance used for poisoning was identified as novichok, a deadly substance produced in the Soviet Union in the Cold War era.
