People living in western and northern Europe are more satisfied and happier with their lives than Slovaks and inhabitants of other EU newcomers.
These are the results from a study of the European Union which examined how EU citizens assess their own welfare and satisfaction in regards to the quality of their lives. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 meaning the lowest level of life satisfaction and 10 meaning the highest, the Slovak index of life satisfaction came in at 6.39 points.
