A total of €82.6 million went towards the implementation of measures from the Strategy for Roma Integration, according to the Monitoring Report on the Implementation of the Strategy by 2020. About three quarters were spent on Roma employment schemes, with almost €15 million going to education and the rest on housing. The main purpose of the strategy is to stop the segregation of Roma communities and to achieve a positive turnaround in their social inclusion, non-discrimination, and in a change of attitude by the majority of the population towards the Roma community.
