International meeting of radio amateurs in Bratislava

Radio amateurs from across Europe and Overseas are meeting for the first time in Bratislava from 31 August to 2 September 2018 at the regular annual EDXC conference. The "Sound Hunters" from Japan, the US, India, Russia, Germany, Austria, Finland, France, Italy, Poland, Denmark, Belgium and the United Kingdom will discuss radio programs around the world for technical news on radio broadcasting and their hobby, so-called DX-ing - tuning and identifying remote radio signals on all radio bands. "Even in the age of digital media and social networks, short waves are very much involved in the number of our listeners," said Jozefína Mikleová, the head of Radio Slovakia International, which actively cooperates with several clubs to prepare their events.
