Slovak press photography in New York

The Slovak Press Photo project will organise an exhibition of journalism-related photographs at the United Nations, slated for the Curve Area Wall in New York on September 5. The exhibition will showcase an independent and authentic visual slice of life as seen by journalists from Slovakia and neighbouring countries. It will feature 25 images by 16 photographers that focus on various genres and present a mosaic of portraits, natural scenes and cultural and sporting events that capture everyday life in Slovakia and beyond. The project is taking place under the auspices of the Slovak president, the Culture Ministry and the mayor of Bratislava. It will be also attended by guest of honour Miroslav Lajčák, President of the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly. The competition entered its seventh year in 2018.
