On Monday, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini laid a wreath on Bratislava's SNP Square to mark the upcoming 74th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising. He was accompanied by Bratislava's regional governor Juraj Droba and Bratislava's mayor Ivo Nesrovnal. "Our ancestors didn't accept their fate passively, as was the case at a number of other key moments, but rose up in resistance against one of the best militaries in the world," claimed Pellegrini.
