Employees of 24 hospitals that are part of the minimum hospital network and specialized hospitals will be given a pay hike as of mid-January.
Anton Szalay, the chairman of the Trade Union of Medical and Social Services Employees confirmed that they agreed with the Association of State Hospitals on this valorisation by 4 %. Doctors, dentists, nurses and midwives who had their salaries hikes in the previous two years will not be subject to this increase. As Anton Szalay claims the reason behind this change was the strive to not eliminate the differences in remuneration of employees in different professions at University, Faculty and specialised health care institutions as health care is a team effort.
