USA sanctions Slovak company for helping Russian firm

The United States Treasury announced in a statement that it has imposed sanctioned against the Slovak firm Lacno S.R.O. along with the Russian firm Vela-Marine Ltd, based in St Petersburg, and two Russian citizens, according to Reuters. The US Treasury states that those involved worked to help the Russian firm Divetechnoservices evade previously imposed sanctions, given for obtaining diving systems for Russia's FSB intelligence agency. The Russian foreign ministry released a statement via their website, with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov calling the new sanctions groundless, promising a response from Moscow. The Slovak firm, Lacno, was unable to be contacted as it has no website or a contact number in the Slovak business registry.
