Sliač airport geared up for annual air show

Pilots from eleven countries are to descend on the Sliač airport show, situated near Banska Bystrica, to demonstrate both modern and historic aviation technology, TASR learnt from Sliac Air Show spokesperson Dušan Hein. "One of the major attractions is the performance of aerobatic groups, and visitors will be able to see several of them. Undoubtedly, the biggest star will be the French team of Patrouille de France (Patrol of France)," said Hein. Nine pilots of red-white-blue Alpha Jet airplanes change their air theatre every year. And Slovak viewers will also be able to enjoy for the first time the Royal Jordanian Falcons. Visitors this year will also be able to see, for first time, C-27J Spartan military transport aircraft as well as the older UH-60M Black Hawk military utility helicopters.
