At a press conference on Friday, held by Defence Minister Peter Gajdoš and Slovak Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Daniel Zmeko, action was declared against the paramilitary organisation "Slovak Conscripts" ("Slovenskí branci"). Gajdoš stated that Slovakia will adopt all legislative and effective measures to prevent the unauthorised military training of soldiers in private militias. Slovak Conscripts resembles a military group, with its own uniforms and military vehicles, however, the group states that all weapons used in their exercises are legally owned by the individuals and their organisation is in compliance with Slovak law.
