State budget with €385 mln deficit at the end of July

The state budget recorded a deficit of €385 million by the end of July, a figure that is almost half the deficit recorded at the same time last year, the Finance Ministry reported on Wednesday. In annual terms, the state budget income grew by 9.2 percent driven mainly by higher VAT and corporate tax collection, while expenditures went up by 3.6 percent with the co-financing of EU funded projects recording an increase, too.
