Following a meeting with a team of investigators, Police President Milan Lučanský announced to the media that he will strengthen the investigations into the murder of journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová. "I have implemented fine adjustments, providing them with material equipment," he said, adding that his background as a homicide detective should give him an advantage into leading the investigation. According to his words, he can only hope that this murder will be solved, though he didn't wish to go into detail regarding the investigation.
