The Labour Ministry announced that by the end of July it will prepare its own proposal to increase the minimum wage in the coming year. The proposal will then be submitted to the Economic and Social Council (HSR), which must discuss it by August 31. If there is no agreement made within the Council regarding increasing the minimum wage, the ministry will draw up its own submission and will submit it for tripartite negotiation by September 30. The government will discuss the submission and decide on the minimum wage by October 20 this year. Experts have suggested that the Slovak minimum wage should be increased to €635 per month.
