A case of possible measles infection has been recorded in a Roma settlement in Trebišov (Košice region) in eastern Slovakia, after the neighbouring district of Michalovce two weeks ago declared a state of emergency due to an outbreak of the disease, TASR learnt on Tuesday. The child had previously stayed in nearby Michalovce, which is the epicentre of the disease. It's suspected that the child was not vaccinated against the disease. Collective vaccination, bans on public meetings in various parts of the region and home quarantine are among the measures taken to prevent the highly contagious disease from spreading further.
