Around €13.5 million is to be invested in the building of new nurseries and the reconstruction of existing ones across Slovakia. The money comes from the Integrated Regional Operational Programme managed by the Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry. The deadline for submissions is September 10, 2018. Towns, villages, municipal districts and not- for-profit organisations can all apply. According to Opposition party Freedom and Solidarity, however, the conditions are set so that private nurseries cannot apply for these funds. According to liberal MP Jana Kiššová, "This is a clear discrimination from the point of view of the protection of competition required by the Slovak constitution. "
