By 2020 Slovakia should receive €20.3 billion from the EU budget, while paying €6.8 billion back into EU coffers, according to a report which the Finance Ministry released on Wednesday.
“With €14.7 billion allocated to cohesion policies Slovakia, along with Romania, represent the most successful member states in terms of the relative increase in this field”, reads the report. Slovak farmers should also have a brighter future as they will be able to spend about €4.7 billion from the EU budget in a more flexible manner.
