Banks’ Profits Grew By 16.6%

The taxed profits of the banking sector in Slovakia reached €545.3 million at the end of November. This represents a 16.6 percent increase in comparison to the same period of the previous year, according to the Slovak Central Bank.

The main factors behind the growth were a drop in losses from trading in financial instruments, a moderate increase in net interest income from loans to households, and income from fees.
