The Slovak Gay Pride parade will be held on Saturday in Bratislava. Following similar events in the world, its organisers are pointing to the fact that people are equal despite any differences in sexual orientation. This year, the event focuses on LGBTI Slovaks leaving to go abroad due to the fact that they experience worse living conditions in Slovakia than in the majority of other EU countries. The event, also supported by the US and Canadian embassies, will be addressed by the ombudswoman Mária Patakyová among others. On Saturday, there will be a march organized by the Christian-based Family Alliance entitled "We are proud of a family" with the aim of spreading the joy that a family consisting of a husband and wife gives to children.
