Shooting is underway in Radio and Television Slovakia (RTVS) studios in Bratislava for Generál (The General); a film about the life and death of French Army General and Slovak iconic figure, Milan Rastislav Štefánik. The film is being directed by Jérôme Cornuau. “Štefánik represents an incredible connection between Slovakia, Czechoslovakia, France and Europe," said Cornuau. He added that he intends for the film to capture the drama of the time, as well as the psychology of a Štefánik’s personality. Štefánik will be played by Slovak actor Milan Ondrík, who sees this role as a great challenge.
