German Chancellor Angela Merkel did not contact Slovakia regarding the topic of the rapid return of migrants from Germany to the European Union country where they were originally registered, said Slovak Deputy Foreign and European Affairs Minister Ivan Korčok on Saturday. According to him, it would be illogical as migrants do not go from Slovakia to Germany. Korčok thus commented the information released by the German Press Agency (DPA) and subsequently disclaimed by Czech and Hungarian Prime Ministers Andrej Babiš and Viktor Orbán. The report referred to the chancellor's letter to coalition partners - top politicians of the Christian Social Union (CSU) and the Social Democrats (SPD). DPA wrote that Merkel had received a commitment from 14 countries - including Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland - to an agreement on the rapid return of migrants from Germany to the European Union country where they were originally registered.
