Cabinet at its session on Wednesday is set to approve the basic stance of the Slovak delegation for the upcoming NATO summit scheduled for July 11-12 in Brussels. President Andrej Kiska should head the Slovak delegation there. Slovakia's commitments vis-a-vis NATO include a gradual increase in defence expenditures to reach 2 percent of GDP in 2024 as well as further participation in NATO missions in the Baltic States and Afghanistan.
