The Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre (UPSVaR) has published a list of jobs that are in high demand to be filled, TASR learnt on Tuesday. The greatest lack of a labour force is in the Bratislava region, where up to 70 shortage occupations have been identified, including, for example, building construction specialists, specialist nurses, food shop assistants, car mechanics and assembly workers. The Trnava region ended up second, where the Labour Centre knows about 55 occupations that are experiencing shortages, followed by the Nitra region with 42 scarce professions, Trenčín, Žilina, Banská Bystrica and Košice regions. Several regions are lacking mechanical engineering and construction specialists, welders as well as doctors, programmers, drivers, warehousemen and butchers.
