New round of anti-bureaucracy measures in progress

A second wave of measures aimed at tackling red tape in public administration, involving the so-called 'one time is enough' principle, is currently in progress, said Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini on Tuesday after holding talks with Vice-premier for Investment and Informatisation Richard Raši (both Smer-SD). The one time is enough principle requires that public administration bodies should share official documents concerning the public among themselves so that people will only have to submit a necessary document once. Raši said that already people will be able to save over €13 million on fees from the measures. He also added that a second action plan regarding combating corruption is in the preparation phase.
