Slovakia spent nearly €100 million on Official Development Aid (ODA) last year which is an increase of 4% year on year. Slovakia spent most of the money on bilateral development aid and humanitarian aid in Asia, followed by Europe, and Africa. The reason is increased contributions to address the ongoing migration and refugee crisis. "Slovakia is still lagging behind the fulfilment of the EU-pledged target to increase the share of ODA from Gross National Income to 0.33 percent by 2030," reads a report submitted to the government on Wednesday.
