Prime Minister Sees Better 2014 than 2013

This year will be better for Slovakia than 2013, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico predicted on Thursday. According to Fico, especially the first half of 2013 was marked by serious repercussions of the global economic and financial crisis on the Slovak economy.

This year, however, the situation should improve, aided and abetted by better state management. “The Government did its homework in 2013. We managed to take care of the public finances. We fulfilled our commitment to do everything possible to fight against tax evasion so that at least 5- 10 percent of the leakage stopped,” said Fico at a press conference of the Finance Ministry.
