The Czech holding company Energetické a Průmyslový Holding (EPH) is increasing its interest in the Slovak energy company Nafta as it is buying a minority stake from the company’s German stockholder E.ON Ruhrgas International.
Nafta is the key provider of services within the field of underground natural gas storage in Slovakia. The company EPH confirmed this on Tuesday without giving more details on the transaction. EPH’s stake in Nafta will now exceed 96%. EPH runs more than 30 enterprises engaged in coal-mining, electricity, heat production & distribution, and in trading with electricity and gas.
