New radars for the army planned

The Defence Ministry wants to procure 17 new radars for more than 155 million euros. The ministry proposes to replace six medium-range radars, five small-range units, and six near-range units. The eligible costs should include staff preparation, training and logistics support. This information stems from a paper the Defence Ministry submitted for interdepartmental review on Wednesday. The department proposes to the government of the Slovak Republic to procure radar technology in a government-to-government manner, i.e. through direct negotiations with the government of the respective producer.
