The reigning world cycling champion, Slovak Peter Sagan of the German Bora-Hansgrohe team, won the second stage of the Tour de Suisse on Sunday. Sagan beat Colombian Fernando Gaviria of the Quick-Step Floors team and Australian Nathan Haas of the Katusha-Alpecin team. Earning a victory in the 155-kilometre stage, the Slovak notched up his 16th stage win of his career in the Tour de Suisse and is fifth in the overall rankings of this year's race. The 182-kilometre-long third stage on Monday could again suit Sagan. It features a rippled profile with five third-category climbs, one of them shortly before the finish.
