US’s aluminium tariffs largely not to affect Slovakia

"The introduction of steel and aluminium tariffs by the United States should leave Slovakia's automotive industry largely unaffected," the vice-president of the Automotive Industry Association Martin Morháč told TABLET.TV. According to him, politicians "should act reasonably and not escalate the situation", as this could lead to real damage for the car sector. "The USA isn't a significant partner for us in terms of steel and aluminium exports," said Morháč, adding that a certain percentage of Slovak car production is destined for the American market.
