Prosecutor made mistakes in the case of Henry Acorda

The prosecutor of Bratislava I District who released Juraj H., currently charged with the manslaughter of Filipino Henry Acorda, acted at odds with the law, stated the Prosecutor-General's Office on Thursday after examining the criminal file. According to Prosecutor-General Jaromír Čižnár, the work of the district prosecutor was insufficient and superficial. The case is currently being dealt with by Bratislava Regional Prosecutor's Office. Filipino Henry Acorda, 36, who worked for an IT company in Bratislava, was attacked by Juraj H., 28, when he attempted to put a stop to the harassment of his two female colleagues. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital five days later. Juraj H. has been charged with manslaughter and has been remanded in custody, pending trial. A march in Henry's memory is scheduled for Friday at 6pm in Hodžovo námestie in Bratislava.
