Three Slovak universities have found themselves among the world's top one thousand tertiary institutions, according to the QS World University Rankings. The Slovak Technical University and Comenius University in Bratislava recorded a ranking of 751-800, while the Technical University in Košice finished with an 801-1000 ranking. The authors of the study write that more than 4,000 universities were compared. The ranking evaluates the reputation of the school among academics and employers, the size of the school, research output by number of publications and citations and the number of foreign students.
