Body of slain Filipino to be taken home by Slovak Government plane

The body of Filipino national Henry John Serafica Acorda, who was beaten to death by a man from Dunajská Streda (Trnava region) in the centre of Bratislava in the small hours of May 26, will be transported to his homeland by a special aircraft of the Slovak Government, Interior Minister Denisa Saková announced on Wednesday. "The date of departure isn't known yet, as it depends on arranging all the necessities," said Michaela Paulenová from the ministry's press department. She added that some of the Filipino's relatives who have arrived in Slovakia will also be taken back to the Philippines by the Government's plane. Meanwhile, Saková announced that she'll discuss financial compensation with the bereaved, including covering the cost of the funeral and other technicalities. The Filipino, 36, who worked for an IT company in Bratislava, was attacked by Juraj H., 28, when he attempted to put a stop to the harassment of his two female colleagues. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital five days later.
