65 year old man shoots gun inside Nitra Council building

Shortly before 9 AM on Wednesday morning, a 65 year old man took out a firearm and fired shots inside the Nitra District Council building. This was reported by Božena Bruchterová, spokeswoman for the Nitra Regional Police Headquarters. Two office staff were in the room with the man and fled once he started shooting, however no injuries were recorded. According to witnesses who were in the building, the man had the gun concealed and planned to use it against another person involved in a dispute, however the other person did not attend the meeting. The two staff who fled the room were left emotionally distressed and needed the support of rescuers. Police arrived quickly to the scene due to an integrated emergency response system, disarming and apprehending the man.
