The National Trust NGO is organizing the 10th annual of the Weekend of open parks and gardens starting this Friday as part of the European year of cultural heritage. The cultural and educational event will be held all across Slovakia. It will be possible to see not only well-known parks and gardens such as those of Bratislava, Budatín or Hlohovec castles but also the forest garden in Kysihýbel in Banská Štiavnica which was established in 1900 to evaluate the growth of trees originating from exotic countries.
