Carmaker Jaguar Land Rover will launch its production plant in the Nitra Strategic Park in September this year. The Nitra plant is set to manufacture a whole range of new Jaguar Land Rover aluminium vehicles, with the first model to be the Land Rover Discovery. According to Jaguar's HR head Nicci Cook, more than 1,300 people are currently working at the plant in Nitra, of which foreign employees make up only 3 percent. By the end of this year, the company wants to hire another 150 workers, and by the end of 2020 Jaguar should employ another 2,800 people, stated Cook, adding that the average monthly salary for skilled workers would range between €900 - €1,800. Recently, Jaguar launched a body manufacture test process, and it has been installing technologies in the painting and assembly halls. In addition, the company has opened a Training Academy centre in which it trains its employees.
