Czech-Slovak festival Re:publika opens

A three-week festival of Czechoslovak design commemorating 100 years since the foundation of Czechoslovakia opened in Brno, Czech Republic, on Saturday. On this occasion, topics such as the creation of Czechoslovakia and ties with European Union were discussed by outgoing Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis and his Slovak counterpart Peter Pellegrini who met at the festival. They both agreed that the 25 years since the peaceful divorce of the countries have worked to bring the nations even closer together. The festival's budget stands at almost €5 million. The organisers expect the turnout to be in hundreds of thousands.
