Slovakia Lags in Electric Car Adoption

Slovakia has been left behind in terms of election car adoption not only compared to neighbouring countries, but across the European Union, writes the Economy Ministry in its draft strategy on the development of electric cars.

“A number of countries are preparing, or have already prepared, national policies taking account of alternative propulsion, pilot projects are under way, and electric vehicles are being integrated into transport systems”, reads the draft. The document is expected to be submitted for discussion in a Government session soon. At present there are fewer than 30 electric cars registered in Bratislava.
