At a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council's development segment in Brussels on Tuesday, diplomats of EU-member states discussed the use of the Union's external financial tools with regards to the multiannual financial framework for 2021-27. Foreign Ministry State Secretary Lukáš Parizek told the TASR press agency that the country was willing to contribute more towards this purpose. "This will certainly involve not only foreign policy but also the development segment," said Parizek. At the same time he added that Slovakia on the one hand wanted to be more visible and active in the EU's development agenda, while on the other, the country wanted to keep to its priorities.
