Economic diplomacy was successful in 2017

Priorities in terms of economic diplomacy were met in 2017, the government approved in its report on Wednesday. This diplomacy included mainly support for small businesses which represent 30% of Slovak exports. An important impact on the success of Slovak business abroad was represented by the missions of entrepreneurs accompanying state representatives on their foreign visits. Their success was secured mainly thanks to the fact that since 2015, businessmen have been chosen for these trips for their individual specialisation and not by chance. The Foreign Ministry underlined mainly presidential visits to the USA, Mexico, Israel and Croatia. The 2018 priorities should involve monitoring and evaluating the possible impact of Brexit on the Slovak economy or joining the programs and projects of the European space agency.
