Year-to-year inflation has reached the level of 2.9%, wrote the TASR press agency, citing the data of the Slovak Statistical Office on Monday. The core inflation was at 3.3% and the net inflation value reached 2.5%. Ľubomír Koršňák, an analyst at UniCredit Bank, expects inflation to culminate by June. The increase should stem from the growing prices of fuel - in reaction to more expensive oil and a weak Euro. However, the arrival of hot weather soon could speed up the fall in price of some fruits and vegetables.
