PSA Groupe will discuss hike in salaries

The management of the carmaker PSA Groupe Slovakia perceives the declaration of the strike alert by the local KOVO PCAS trade union organisation to be a rejection of the proposed compromise solution to increase staff salaries. The proposal was submitted to both parties by a mediator of the Labour Ministry. However, the carmaker will further deal with this suggestion, said spokesman for the carmaker Peter Švec. The mediator was requested by the trade unions after a dispute was declared in the collective bargaining. The time period for negotiations is until May 24. The employer's last proposal was a 6.8-percent year-on-year increase in salaries. However, the trade union organisation has not accepted any of the compromises submitted, Švec said.
