The soon to be established Slovak-Chinese carrier WDL Airlines is expected to start operating direct flights between Bratislava and the northern Chinese metropolis of Tianjin.
According to the Bratislava-seated Slovak-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SACC) which mediated the founding of the airline, a Chinese partner should own 60 percent in the company and with Slovak ownership comprising of 40 percent. Boeing 747 jumbo jets should be flying the first routes operated by the new airline.
