The Slovak ice hockey team lost both its first matches at the Ice Hockey World Championship 2018 in Denmark. On Saturday against the Czech Republic, Slovaks were leading 2:1 nine seconds before the end of the match, however, the Czechs managed to tie the game and win in the overtime. On Sunday, the Slovak team fell short against Switzerland 0:2. Slovakia is to face five more opponents in its A-group. The next match, against Austria, is scheduled on Tuesday 4:15 pm CET.
