Slovak Chamber of Commerce: anti-crisis measures from 2008 still valid

The Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SOPK) would like Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini to cancel the decade-old anti-crisis measures still in use. The chamber complained that tax-levy burden of entrepreneurs in Slovakia is higher than in other Visegrad Four (V4) countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) and in many EU states. "Many measures in this regard were adopted as anti-crisis measures in 2008 but they are still valid even if Slovakia's economy is doing well at the moment," said chamber's head Peter Mihók. The two sides agreed that the chamber will provide the premier with a list of all anti-crisis measures still valid and the Government will deal with them. The chamber would also like to see more support for Slovak exports.
