Three out of four main awards were received by Slovak film Čiara or The Line directed by Peter Bebjak at the Festivale International du Film Policier in Belgium city Liège. Besides being granted the best film, the event focused on criminal and detective films also recognized Slovak actor Tomáš Maštalír and actress Zuzana Fialová as best in their categories. The best Slovak film of the year 2017 presents the thrilling story of smugglers at the far eastern border of the Schengen area.
