Thirty farmers' associations and initiatives have joined the so-called Košice call that was submitted to Agriculture Minister Gabriela Matečná at their meeting on Thursday. The document consists of 18 demands and proposals regarding land ownership, the Agricultural payment agency, police investigation and participation in creating legislature. The farmers request, for example, the establishment of an "agricultural Cobra" unit within the Interior Ministry and the creation of the post of an independent prosecutor to control the re-opened complaints. The Agriculture Minister announced that she had to debate these demands at the Ministry. According to her, a possible solution might be making legislature concerning property law relations simpler as well as making the land rental register public.
