Incumbent Deputy Interior Minister Denisa Saková is Smer party's candidate for the position of Interior Minister. Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini officially announced the proposal to President Andrej Kiska on Tuesday morning. Kiska is to meet her later in the day. The post became empty after Tomáš Drucker resigned last Monday after only 26 days in office.
